The difference between dolls and action figures

When you hear the word "doll", the first thing that comes to mind "Barbie" is. The main difference between dolls and action figures is that the former is geared toward girls, while the second is geared towards children. Dolls are usually matching outfits, and action figures are usually the day including clothing and accessories that do not see any.

Check out Barbie. Since its founding in 1959, was the essence of Barbie Girls'Toys>, who, with their interchangeable clothing, pink car, and variations in Malibu Beach House. Although the collection and then Ken, obviously, Ken was not an action figure. His clothes, like Barbie, were typical for a day, clothes days, even those who were male.

In comparison, a typical "action figure" is muscular, especially in an exaggerated way, power and weapons are available as accessories. are two classic examples come to mind Thundercatsand GI Joe. Thundercats characters, while some were human, usually yellow or gray-brown, with overdeveloped muscles and their outfits consisted of undershirts and socks. Most Thundercats figures, male or female, for example, contain a weapon, Lion-O, because the handle was made with the Sword of Omens, a long sword with a red fire.

GI Joes, not as muscular as the Thundercats was still physically fit and usually included accessories such as machine guns,Knives and grenades. Can we really say that these are not intended for children? This does not mean that the girls never played with them, but this is not what the marketing company had in mind.

Other popular American Girl dolls and including Ashton-Drake, both of which are intended for young girls. Occasionally, some adults collect dolls of this type, because of their realistic appearance and value if in good condition.

Another classic action figure collectionThat come to mind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, whose name indicates the action, and perhaps violence. As for GI Joe and Thundercats, Turtles, armor and playsets with vehicles such as tanks and artillery vehicles occupied. Again, while some girls may have found appealing Ninja Turtles were popular with boys. The wicked are also distorted and changed, like Shredder and his henchmen, Bebop and Rock Steady. Perhaps these numbers shouldAppeal for the same guy that aggressive competition sport and war games like it.

Today's figures vary a little action ', but once again, her looks as a whole is about the same. Perhaps as times change, the way in which people tend to remain the same. girls' toys for boys and the product, for the most part, reflect this.
